We are currently seeking associates from major full-service firms or leading boutiques with 1-2 years of post Call experience for two in-house positions. Candidates should ideally have had exposure to corporate/commercial or securities work, although exceptional candidates with experiences from other practice areas gained at a top tier full-service firm or leading boutique will also be considered.

Kinectrics, a leader in providing life cycle management services for the electricity industry, is seeking to add an experienced full-time legal counsel to offer sound and pragmatic legal advice in a dynamic business environment. With over 1000 engineers and technical experts, across multiple jurisdictions and with international operations, Kinectrics is trusted by clients worldwide for its expertise in engineering, testing, inspection and certification.

The right candidate will bring 4 to 7 years of relevant experience gained in-house or at a leading law firm. Previous industry experience or experience in a similar industry sector would be an advantage.  The role has a broad commercial focus, including commercial agreements, bids and RFP processes, commercial negotiations and teaming/joint-venture matters.   In addition to commercial contracting skills, exposure to the some of the following areas would be a significant asset: M&A (including share purchase agreements, etc.); intellectual property; litigation and claims management; corporate governance; regulatory & compliance; commercial/industrial leasing; foreign subsidiary experience; trade issues; health & safety;  and, environmental.
